How to define Actions for a Quick Rule?

Definition

An action in the context of quick rule refers to a task or operation that is triggered when a defined condition or scenario is met. Actions are executed to perform specific operations based on the Business Rules within the system. These actions can take various forms, such as displaying messages, sending notifications, stopping tasks, or triggering other processes.

How to use?

• Open a Quick Rule and in the validations tab click on "Actions" field to open Action Page.

  
  

  

  
  

• On the Actions Page, select an action type in the "Type" field.

  
  

  

  
  

• Click on the dropdown of the code field to define the Action on Actions Page, then click on new to define the new action.

  
  

  

  
  

• On the Action Card page, define the Code, Description and Action Text (such as Message Text, Error Message Text etc.)

  
  

  

  
  

• In Code field, choose the code that will be executed when the condition is satisfied.

  
  

  

Note: The description defines the action, while the action text is the text that will be used during the execution of this action.
